Hey, my name is Ansh Shah. I enjoyed playing soccer all my life and started playing on a Sunday league team at the age of 9. Slowly, I began to play for better and better clubs, and now play for my high school team. I would be a good candidate for the team because I show very great sportsmanship while on the pitch. I never yell at the referees, always help players up when they are down, never purposely try to injure anyone, and always respect the rules on the field. I also was the Captain of my high school Freshman B team so I always listened to my players and always considered their opinions. I believe that I am different from other recruits because I never give up no matter what happens. People always told me that you are too short to play soccer or did not believe in me because I wasn't good in the beginning. This gave me even more motivation and I used that as fuel to practice and practice each day until I got better. I feel that no matter what people say or comment about your success, never let it affect you and always push yourself and try your hardest. In academics, in the beginning stages of my life, I didn't have good grades. I worked extremely hard to get my grades back up and now I am on track for a great GPA.
