I have been playing soccer since I was eight years old. Soccer has always been a big part of my life. I played club soccer and recreational soccer as a child and now I play soccer for my high school. I also play indoor soccer in the winter months and run track in the spring. I have worked extremely hard on my soccer skills and have developed not only strong athleticism, but a strong knowledge of the game and ability to see the field and make quick decisions on my feet. I am extremely self-motivated and push myself to become a better player everyday. I was one of 2 sophomores who played Varsity this past year. I also continued to play JV and was named JV Defensive Player of the Year. I was named Academic All-Conference for my sophomore year. I also am a good leader to my peers and to younger players by setting good examples at practice, at games and in the classroom.
Not only do I excel on the soccer field, but I excel in the classroom as well. I am an honor student who has been on the High Honor Roll for the entirety of my high school career. I also am a member of the Jacksonville Area Youth for Change Council which is an organization that works to promote youth involvement in the community. While I don't know exactly what I want to do yet in the future, I do know that when I attend college I would love the opportunity to continue playing the sport that I love.
