For the last 12 or so years of my life, soccer has been my go-to sport. I have always been a multi-sport athlete, whether it be playing lacrosse, basketball, baseball, ice hockey, or swimming, but soccer was the only one that stuck with me. I have always been able to completely dial in no matter what I was going through in my personal or academic life, and work as hard as I could; I try to take this same attitude everywhere else in my life, whether that be volunteering or in school, when I start something, I put my head down and work as hard as I can. Playing soccer has also helped push me out of my comfort zone; being a more quiet kid it was always hard for me to be vocal, especially on the field. I realized as I progressed through the years that I had to be the most vocal on the field, since guiding and supporting teammates with my full view of the field is one of the most important roles of a goalkeeper. Soccer has also helped me develop my social and leadership skills, as being a goalkeeper I have to have a good relationship with my team and be able to lead them for the full 90 minutes that I'm playing. My biggest strengths in goal would be my distribution skills, handling, footwork, and 1v1 situations, whereas my biggest strengths off the field lie with my people skills and academic abilities. I would like to play for either a division 1 or 3 school, preferably in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and South West/East regions.
