Personal Statement
My name is Karim Fayed, i'm 17 years old and Egyptian. I'am 6ft 1 and my preferred playing position is centre back. I attend Schutz American School of Alexandria. This is my second year there as i was in a french school (Lycée Francais D'Alexandrie) for nearly all my life.
For as long as i can remember, the only thing that i loved doing was playing soccer. I enjoy playing soccer more than anything, i play it with passion and heart. I have played for my club team "Alexandria Sporting Club" since i learned how to walk. I grew as a player and a person there. I started playing as a outside back but then a new coach came in and decided to play me as a centre back. And this has been my stable position since then.
I am the kind of player that would give everything for the team, play with my heart. I am a smart player, know how to make a tackle, and interception, when to go for a slide, or stay on my feet. I'm tall, so i am good in the air, and have a nice heading accuracy. I have the speed and stamina as i used to play outside back, and like to shoot from long range.
Academically, i feel that i am doing good in school. Last year i took an AP class, this year i am taking 3. In my old french school, with the french system, it is a lot harder, but i have managed to get good grades, and get the "Brevet". I was in honours class for the last semester last year as i got a high GPA.
My goals in the short run are, be a captain on the College team, play for at DI level and win as much trophies as i could. But in the long run are to win the Ballon d'or someday, play for AC Milan and The Egyptian National Team.
I grew up watching Paolo Maldini play and he has always been a hero for me. He got me to watch AC Milan play and i have since then loved them passionately. I always watch their games and support them whenever and wherever. Also I still watch a lot of Maldini's videos to learn some things. I would love to be at his level one day.
