Will Sharp '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am a 17 year old boy from the UK, England, and my dream is to earn a soccer scholarship or play at a collegiate level in the United States of America, and to also earn a degree in business along side. I believe the USA is the best place to do so, I am a gifted young player (central defensive midfielder, or left/right back). I tend to see the beautiful game of football, or of course in this case, the beautiful game of soccer in a different mind to anyone else. I don't just see 2 teams of 11 players trying to score and trying not to concede, I see tactics, I compose myself and read the game seconds before it happens, in other words I anticipate and seconds before I receive the ball I already know where I am going to shift it on, I am aware of everyone around me on the pitch, not just the ball, and this is why I believe that I bring something different to the table in the midfield position, I know what you may be think, " he's got too big of an ego". However I know I am unique and that's what differentiates me and any other player.

I have played for Gurnard Warriors for 9 years until I was 16, which we was the most successful team in youth football (winning the most trophy's and tournaments etc.)  and after that I had to take around 6 months off football due to an injury. But now I am 17 and have joined a men's football team (Cowes sports) I realised how much I missed the game and I am the most motivated I have ever been to try and accomplish my dream off receiving an offer for a soccer scholarship.

At the end off high school (we finish high school at 16 in England) I received 7 GCSE'S, 1 BTEC and a CYQ Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure. And now I will be turning the age of 18 in august this year I believe that this is the right time for me to apply.
