Oliver Calculli '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Oli Calculli, I am a Sophomore soccer player at Heartland Community College in Illinois, a successful ranked junior college that has seen the success of regional champions as well as District Champions, resulting in National Tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024. I have been at this College for two (2) years.

I am reaching out regarding the possibility of transferring to another US College for the spring 2025 with 2.5 years of eligibility or the fall 2025 season with 2 years of eligibility remaining. 

I am an Australian footballer of Colombian and Italian descent, fluent in English and proficient in basic Spanish. As a dynamic and versatile player, I excel in ball control, precise dribbling, accurate crossing, sharp vision, calm composure under pressure, strong 1v1 ability, defensive awareness, and adaptability. I am majoring in Business while working toward my ultimate goal of furthering my career as a professional footballer. 

I am a natural left-footer and can confidently excel in multiple positions, including:

- Attacking Midfield 

 Off the pitch, I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA and pursuing entrepreneurial ambitions to start my own company in the future. My academic focus, combined with a strong work ethic, has provided me with a solid foundation in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. Additionally, I have a flexible budget for yearly university costs, allowing me to invest in a program that aligns with both my athletic and academic aspirations. 

Beyond my ability on the pitch, I am seeking more than a college program; I am looking for a coach who can mentor, guide, and help refine my game to prepare me for the next level beyond college or university. This next step in my soccer career is pivotal, and I am eager to partner with a program and coach who share my drive and vision. My strengths include a keen football mind, the ability to read the play effectively, and adaptability to meet the demands of any game situation, whether starting or coming in as a super-sub.
