Aidan Young '21 Recruiting Profile

Self-motivated with strong leadership abilities (team captain) and excellent skills from defense to goal-scoring. Disciplined with very strong time-management capabilities allowing for a rigorous multi-sport athletic schedule while maintaining academic excellence.

As an athlete I am determined to find the highest standard of development and playing that I can possibly achieve, and I'm already working very hard in my soccer training and additional athletic and strength training. Although Covid-19 has limited our ability to get out and play matches, or even to be able to train as a team for 3 months, I have used this opportunity to greatly increase the number of hours that I have dedicated each and every day to athletic and soccer skills development. 

As a leader I am committed to giving my all to my team, leading by example and by action, including giving everything at each and every practice.

As a soccer player my game has been developing strongly over the past years and I have evolved from a very strong central defensive player to become an excellent box-to-box or defensive midfield player, with the vision to see the whole field, and the ability  to convert chances when they come.  During this development I have played competitive games in every position on the field. I see my future in mid-field, but with the versatility to play where my coach needs me.
