2023 HighlightsI come from a family of hockey players and in spite of playing hockey since age three, the moment I stepped on a soccer field I was hooked. I love strategizing plays and working together with my teammates. At age 10, I switched to focus full-time on soccer and have never looked back. I was fortunate to have inspired coaches who instilled in me a love of the game. I have played for Sigma FC since U13, which was founded by one of Canada’s most respected soccer coaches Bobby Smyrniotis. Since joining Sigma, my team has made it to the OPDL finals each year, and has won prestigious showcases like the Berthesda Cup. One of my proudest moments was traveling to Europe in 2022 and having a chance to compete against top teams like PSV, Ajax, and OHL Leuven.
I have been on the varsity soccer team at my high school King’s Christian Collegiate since my freshman year, and I hope that my dedication to the game will allow me to play at a college level. What I can offer to a team is the promise to consistently work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave.
I am open-minded about colleges, with the goal of finding one where I can play competitive soccer and learn more about my other true passion – business.
My interest in business started in grade 8 with reselling sneakers and expanded to include other hard-to-find items. I have created dropshipping stores and am designing a clothing line. I am learning to computer code. I am continually reading a mix of philosophy and business books to expand the way I look at business and the way people think. Some of my favourites include: Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, Zero to One by Peter Thiel and Atomic Habits by James Clear. I am interested in finding a business school to expand my knowledge in both of these areas.
My goal is to find a school where I can make an impact on the soccer team and in business, and to be an example for those after me. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest, would keep a smile on my face.
