Nathan Smith '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a versatile player, who was exposed to European style play  and trained in all positions of competitive and professional play. I  can comfortably play all defensive and holding-midfielder positions as well as winger positions.  
I am a very confident young man who possesses the skills and determination to effectively contribute to my team. 
I bring a commanding presence on the field and lead by example off and on the field as well. 
Although predominantly left footed, I was developed to play skillfully  with both feet and have been said to be skillful at switching the play from both ends of the field.
I possess a high intensity and high concentration in the game, with excellent timing and positioning.  I am also very adept at reading the game. Take charge mentality.
I am knowledgeable in the rules of the game, the team, as well as individual player strategies and passing options even when the other team has the ball so I am thinking ahead of all my peers.
My goal is to play for the one of the professional MLS teams. As well, I would also  like the opportunity to play in the National Team to represent Canada. I have a passion for soccer and believe that my ambitions coupled with the combination of skill, technique and experience will afford me the opportunity to play in a professional league.
