Vincenzo Reale '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Vincenzo, and I'm extremely passionate about soccer, academics and family. I always strive to be the best at school and on the pitch. My coaches have always appreciated my work ethic, my vision for the game, my ability to score goals and create scoring chances for my team. My position on the pitch is that of an attacking midfielder, however I've also been used as a defensive mid, winger or forward. I am also a former Golden Boot winner, as I was the top goal scorer in the province of Quebec. I play both club soccer and varsity soccer. I currently play for AS Laval where we finished the summer season 2nd, in the highest league in the province.  In 2021, I helped my team as co-captain to win the 2021 provincial championship. Year over year, I have been selected after rigorous tryouts for our provincial, Quebec soccer team, where top players in the province are identified to compete against selected teams of the other provinces. In 2019, I was also selected to represent Canada at the Danone Nations Cup; a fully sponsored event in Barcelona, Spain. More recently, I had the opportunity to train with Viterbese Academy, a Serie C club in Italy.

I live in Montreal, Canada. I'm fluently bilingual in English and French, and I also speak Italian. I attended a top academic high school in the province of Quebec where I maintained a 4.0 GPA. High school ends in grade 11 in Quebec and I am now attending Vanier Cegep. Cegep is a 2 year program we complete in Quebec prior to attending University. Therefore, I would be open to attending a university in 2024, or a year later in 2025 upon graduating from Vanier Cegep.  Vanier recruited me for their Division 1 soccer program. It's been a great transition, I am currently a starter and I have the opportunity to play with other talented players older than me. I aspire to continue to develop as a player in the NCAA, while pursuing my academic goals.
