My name is Bartol Raguz and I would be an entering freshman in 2020. I am looking to major in Music performance/ management/ technology for now, and am also interested in Business, Advertising and Sports Management.
I was born on Nov 15, 2001 in Zagreb, Croatia, and am also a US citizen. Since Croatia, I lived with my parents in Vienna, Austria and now in Paris. I speak English, German, Croatian, and French. My grades are in the B+ range on the US system. I will start grade 11 in the upcoming Fall 2018 in the IB program at the Ermitage International School of France in Paris.
Soccer-wise, I have been playing since age six. My last club in Vienna was First Vienna, where I played U14 in a regional division 1 (league below professional academies). In 2016 my family moved to Paris, where I played with Union Sportive Le Pecq in 2017-2018, in a western suburb of Paris. I played for its U17 team in regional division 3, as a centreback; mostly for the U19 team in district division 3 as midfielder; and, occasionally as a substitute for the adult team that plays in district division 1. District is Yvelines with a population of 1.7 million, and the region is Ile de France (Paris metro) with a population of 13.3 million.
In the upcoming 2018-2019 season I will play at AS Poissy, a regional division 2 club in U19. The Paris region (Ile de France) has eight levels of competition for U19s, with promotion/relegation. Three Paris clubs play in the national league (academies), including PSG. Others play in three regional leagues, including PSG U19 B team, and four departmental/district leagues. In addition to Poissy, I was asked to play for Racing/R1, but decided to play at Poissy due to transport issues. In the 2019-2020 season I am continuing to play for AS Poissy, however, this year with the U20's. Currently, I play in the R1 league which is the highest possible league for U20's in the Ile de France region.
I am 6'00'' and 165 lbs. My coaches tell me that my technical skills, passing, vision and first three steps are my best traits.
I know a bit about NCAA soccer from my father and his friends who played D1 at Bowling Green in Ohio.
