My name is Angus MacDonald,
I am 14 years old and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I am the right person for this program because I know that I will never give up on chasing my dream of playing soccer at a professional level. I am a leader, but not afraid to learn, so I would learn a lot under American college coaches and teachers but would also help American college teams with my leadership and understanding of soccer. I have high academic achievement, and I believe going to an American college would only further my knowledge in school and of the beautiful game. To move to America and play college soccer and hopefully MLS would be a dream come true. I have played soccer in England, Italy and Australia so I have an understanding of all different ways of playing the game. I believe learning and playing under the fast paced American style would improve me more as a player, and due to my knowledge I could help my fellow teammates. My school grades and education are just as important, if not more, as my soccer career and sporting life. Besides a career in soccer, the other career path I would like to follow is becoming either a lawyer and American college or university education would allow me to become better in either of these fields. Playing and learning in America would give me knowledge and an experience that I would share with future soccer players looking to follow the same path that I followed. I am also a musician, I play Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Guitar and Keyboard and I have a musical scholarship for my school.
