Cosimo Fontana '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cosimo Fontana. I am an Italian citizen living in Florence, although I was born in Santiago, Chile, due to my father's job. I’m a rising senior at the International School of Florence, and I currently play soccer for Floriagafir, one of the top teams in Florence, as an attacking midfielder and forward. My passing and vision are some of my strongest traits as a footballer, and I love setting up players with through balls. What sets me apart from other recruits is my ability to initiate attacks through my positioning, search for one-twos with teammates, take accurate set pieces, and dribble towards defenders. Having lived in many countries, I have developed adaptability to different playstyles, coaches, and languages. Academically, having two older siblings who have already graduated from high school motivates me to achieve the highest possible grades and to use my competitiveness to surpass their accomplishments. Looking ahead, I am very interested in attending college in the United States and would love the opportunity to play the game I love while studying at a highly esteemed academic institution, as academics have always been a priority for me and my family.
