I have some experience in senior team soccer, last season (summer of 2017) I played a big role in a team that got promoted from the Icelandic 3rd division. I got selected as the most promising young player by fans and team mates. This season (summer of 2018) I will be playing for that same team in the Icelandic 2nd division.
Academics would be my main focus during my stay in the USA but getting a scholarship and continuing playing soccer while finishing my BSc sounds really nice.
I went to a bunch of training camps for the U17 Icelandic national team when I was younger and made it to a last-20-group a few times but never got selected for the final group unfortunately.
I can play a wide variety of positions, I've played as a defensive and attacking midfielder, those are my preferred positions. I've also played as a full back, both right and left and as a center back.
My girlfriend would be applying for the school as well and her getting accepted plays a critical role in me accepting the scholarship. She is my rock and I wouldn't go without her.
