Matias Medrano '27 Recruiting Profile

Born in Iquique, Chile, my passion for soccer began at age six. In 2022, I moved to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to join the Tahuichi Aguilera Soccer Academy, a step that deepened my commitment to the game. A major milestone in my development was competing in CONMEBOL Evolución 2023 in Paraguay, where I gained valuable international experience. To date, I’ve played over 300 domestic and 50 international matches, helping refine my game intelligence, technical execution, and creativity under pressure.

In 2024, I was selected to Exact Sports’ All-American team, which led to training with West Ham FC and competing against Fleetwood Town FC in England. I currently play for Santa Cruz City Soccer Academy and have been called up to both the Bolivian U15 and U16 National Teams. I hold citizenship in Bolivia, Chile, and the United States.

As a player, I bring strong game understanding and quick decision-making, along with a growth mindset and the initiative to train and improve both on and off the field. I adapt quickly to different systems and challenges, take pride in being a responsible, team-oriented player, and consistently aim to contribute at the highest level.
