Matthew Petersen '18 Recruiting Profile

When I first started playing soccer, I never really had any aspirations of making a career out of it. As I grew older, I started to realize that I not only started to love the game but to also think about making a career out of it. I've played at higher levels of soccer in my country and learnt a lot through my experiences. I believe that playing college soccer in USA will not only increase my knowledge and experience of the game, but also take one step closer to becoming a professional soccer player. Being able to study in America and playing the sport I love will only make the journey much better.

I am a hardworking player and I will always look to win the ball back for my team. As me being an attacking mid, I always look to link up play within the midfield and distribute the ball as best as I can. I would always find myself in good attacking positions with an eye for goal. I am well respected within my team and probably one of the better players to be coached within my team.  I hope to make this dream of mine a reality and can't wait to get started with whatever is thrown at me.
