Ular Zhumabekov '18 Recruiting Profile

Dear Sir or Madam:

       My name is Ular Zhumabekov. I believe that my educational background would enable me to make a strong contribution at the University.

       I am from the Land of Great Steppe, which is situated in the heart of Eurasia and it is the ninth biggest country in the world – the Republic of Kazakhstan. My country is the only one in the world who has willingly refused from nuclear weapons, over 140 different nationalities and 46 religions live in friendship and peace and the only things which we know about the war are from the movies. I live in Almaty, the biggest city of Kazakhstan. I want to use this opportunity and invite you to visit our country, and I am sure that our hospitality and cordiality will forever stir your hearts.

      I study at the Republican Physics and Mathematics school.  My academic performance has always been on the top of the group. I am an active member of the school, participating in various scientific and creative competitions. I am also a very sociable person. I enjoy visiting theatres, operas and museums. 

      I believe in lifelong learning. I totally agree with a statement that was given by Abraham Lincoln “Investment in education pays the highest return.”

     My country is very young. It is only 25 years old. That’s why we do not have many good specialists. I believe that the education that I will receive in your university will allow me to work more efficiently.

     Soccer is my life. I have played soccer since I could walk. I am current player of AFK “Kairat” which is the strongest club in Almaty and probably Kazakhstan. Last year I won 2^nd place in National Junior Championship. Before that I played in “Enbek” FC and with them I won National Championship in 2015 and 2^nd place in 2016. In 2017, our headmaster organized varsity team and my team won 1^st place in varsity championship and I received a prize “The best forward”. I am sure that I will become a valuable member of your team.

        If I get selected for this program I will have the opportunity to learn from the best and the fact that I will study in international environment will give me the privilege to create new relationships with a people from a different cultures. I have a dedication and perseverance in order to achieve the best results in the field and I believe that my background will qualify me for this program.

       I will be immensely grateful for any answer that you provide me, but if you make a decision about my admission, I will make every effort to prove that I am worthy of this chance.
