Personal Statement

Hello Coach,

My name is Nicholas Crosby and I'm a rising Junior at the American International School of Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia. Born and raised in New York, I pursued European football in June 2020, going on trial at Dinamo Zagreb and joining NK Kustosija Zagreb, a well-known professional club with a top academy, playing at left-wing and striker. I believe my fast-paced and goal-hungry play will aid in creating a dangerous attacking threat for your program. I currently have  a 3.8 GPA. My lifelong dream has been to pursue academics and football at the highest possible level. I intend to major in international relations.

  • After training with NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac, currently 11th in Croatia*, I decided it would be a better fit for me to play for NK Kustosija Zagreb, currently joint first in the Zagreb U18 First Division with Dinamo Zagreb.
  • 2019 Soccer Stars United Galaxy (ECNL, NPL)
  • In the fall, I played for Galaxy at a College Showcase in Bethesda. after the showcase, I trained with them for a bit in November and December.
  • 2019 Soccer Stars United Solar (EDP III)
  • As the league, beginning in the spring, was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, I only played matches for Solar during the fall, in which I played tournaments, college showcases, and friendlies.
