Kymani Getfield '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello.... I am Kymani Getfield. I am 17 years old and I was born in Jamaica where I lived out most of my life with my mother. It has always been my mother and I since day 1. I do not know where I would be without her love and support. She has sacrificed alot for me and has giving me a world of opportunities by migrating to the US where I can be more successful .  She pushes me to be the best . She Inspires me and I also push myself to be the best I can be on and off the pitch. I focus on my academics,staying on top of my classes, with an excellent GPA, just as much as I try to improve myself on the pitch each and every training session or game day. I strongly believe in the term student-athlete. I have a great work ethic and I always learn from my mistakes, take corrections and look into areas where I can improve.  I live by my favorite quote “The heights by great mean reached and kept, we’re not attained by sudden flight but they while their companions slept were toiling  upwards through the night” - by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and this pushes to give 110% and settle for nothing less.
