Leonardo De La Rosa-Ricken '19 Recruiting Profile

I am very interested in playing Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer at an Engineering university. I am a very competitive soccer player and excellent student with a 4.09 weighted GPA and 1290 SAT score. I aspire to play at a high level of soccer at a challenging university while studying hard towards my future career.   

My greatest strength on the soccer field is my competitive mindset to win for my team. I am a team player who has excelled in many positions on the field throughout my soccer career. At this time I enjoy most playing the midfield position where my individual skills can be most effective in passing the ball to my fellow teammates. I have played since I was 4 years old both on my elementary and high school teams in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as local Puerto Rico leagues. I have attended 3 college ID camps in Puerto Rico and the United States.

What makes me a top candidate is the calm and composed playing style that I possess. I have watched university soccer games to see where I stand next to top level players. I have noticed that the play style is fast, and that’s why I believe that my tranquility on the field will create a strong impact in a university level soccer game. Consequently, I believe I will be a great asset to a university soccer team.
