Joel Bisnette '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 and since I first started have been extremely passionate about the sport and playing as well as I can. I love soccer because of the sense of family it provides, the sport-specific and life skills it has helped me learn, and also the discipline it has taught me. During my time playing, I have been a junior competition referee/coach for younger kids as well as just a player, which helped me understand the more social aspects of the sport and see it from a different perspective. From this experience as well as many years of playing I have learned a lot about dedication, sports-based social skills, and also the importance of doing the things you love. Academic achievement and effort are also extremely important to me and I know that if I find a college that also values this I would be able to excel in this field as well as athletically. A way that I will be able to combine my academic and athletic progression is through an athletic training or exercise science course which could help me understand other elements of sport beyond just playing.
