Brock Chartier '13 Recruiting Profile

I will be a Senior during the 2012-2013 school year at Ottawa High School. I am 5'9" tall, weigh 147 pounds and am one of the fastest players on our varsity squad. I have played soccer since I was three years old. When I turned ten I join the U12 Ottawa United Soccer team that played in the KVSA league in Lawrence Kansas. When I was eleven I earned the MVP Award from the KVSA League and the Play Maker Award from my coach. I decided to try out for the KVSA Premium team when I was 12. My KVSA team played in the Heartland Soccer League in Olathe, Kansas. I played for them for three years. One of my goals has been to make varsity and letter my freshman year and I achieved that goal. After my freshman season I decided to play soccer in the spring and was placed on the Kansas Rush U15 Team from Overland Park Kansas. During the Kansas Rush spring 2010 season I had two goals and averaged 2 assist a game. We played in more competitive tournaments and during our last tournament we placed 2nd. I believe that it is important to help your team win balls and make goals. Giving more than 100% during practice and games should be everyone's goal. It is important to be a team player and to encourage your teammates. I am usually the first player on the pitch and the last to leave. I am open to any type of college. The college majors I am considering are Sports Management, Business Management, Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. During my Freshman year of high school I earned a cumulative GPA of 3.6. It is important to me to maintain a high GPA throughout high school and college. I want to have a positive impact on my team in college, obtain my major while maintaining a high GPA.
