Hey coaches! I officially started my soccer career in 5th grade. While I did play soccer during middle school Covid was certainly a huge barrier. Honestly, my 9th grade year doesn't do my current ability justice. I have made huge improvements in my skills on and off the field . Academics have always came easy for me, but I am proud to say that I had a 3.75 GPA in my 9th grade year and currently have a 3.50 in my 10th grade year. Soccer has helped give me the focus I needed to continue to push myself to grow and do better. I worked this summer at my dads company to help fund the clinics, camps, and off season soccer clubs I attended. I had the opportunity to attend clinics taught by some amazingly talented soccer players and coaches,
The soccer season has ended for my 10th grade season, but I began working out and weight lifting six months ago to prepare. I weighed in originally around 128 pounds and bulked up to 140 pounds in the last six months. I have increased my strength and endurance greatly. I look to help as many other teammates as I can as I work towards my goal of being the best I absolutely can. I can be hard on myself sometimes, especially when I have a hard time on the field. It is this drive that helps me push forward and strive to always be better than I am.
Thank you for your time, Brendan Groce
