Rishi Kapoor '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rishi Kapoor and I am currently 16 years old. I am a rising junior and attend South Carroll High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 7 years old. Before the age of 7, I watched sports on TV and played soccer with my friends but was not really interested in joining a team. Then my neighbor asked me to join the soccer team he coached even though I was a year younger than the rest of the players on the team. After playing in my first game, I realized that I truly enjoyed playing soccer on a team, and fell in love with the sport over time. Since that time, I have always played up a year on any team I have been a part of. For the last several years, I have played on a club and indoor team, as well as high school team for the past two years.

This sport has taught me how to be unselfish and be a team player. Throughout high school I am aiming to obtain a weighted GPA of 3.8 or higher and unweighted GPA of 3.6 or higher while challenging myself in Honors and AP classes. I was the captain on my high school JV soccer team, and am a good leader on and off the field. I also have very good ball skills, and can pass and shoot with both feet.
