Jacob van Zyl '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a fifteen year old identical twin from Cape Town, South Africa.  My family moved to the USA in 2011.  My passion for soccer began when I was five years old.  I played for a club team in Strand, Western Cape. In 2010, I was able to attend the Soccer World Cup in Cape Town. When we moved to Dartmouth, Massachusetts I joined DYSA (Dartmouth Youth Soccer Association) and I continue to play for the league today. I was a starting forward for the Dartmouth High School freshman team this past fall.  My hope is to make the varsity team next fall and to continue to play soccer through high school and college.  In addition to soccer, I am on the track team and am enrolled in all honors classes.  I am hardworking, dedicated and loyal and feel that I would be an asset to your college soccer team.
