Fernando Toledo-Melendez '27 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I grew up in Mexico, where I learned to love the game and enjoy the sport with passion. Since moving to the U.S. in 2017, I’ve grown a lot, I’ve learned the value of discipline, consistency, and working hard for my goals.  I’ve played as a central attacking midfielder (CAM) for about 4 years, and that position helped shape me into the player I am today. Over the last year, I’ve been playing on the wing for my team, but I’m comfortable anywhere from the 6 to the 11. Still, I consider my biggest strengths to be in the midfield.  My goal is to play Division 1 college soccer and then continue to the professional level. My game is built on vision, intelligence, ball control, and precise passing, qualities that help me create and connect plays.
