As an American who spent my freshman year of high school in Barcelona, Spain, I cultivated more of a global view than is typical of my peers. In addition, living with people from so many different cultures I learned how to relate to people from across the globe and develop close bonds with people who have completely different backgrounds from my own. As a result of this experience, I am very adaptable to new situations as I trust my ability to navigate them successfully since I was able to do so while living on my own, at 14, in a foreign country.
While living in Spain, I trained with Kaptiva Soccer Academy and developed discipline through a rigorous training schedule of practicing twice a day. I also enjoyed the privilege playing against some of the top teams in Spain: FC Barcelona, Valencia CF, and Villareal CF. This helped me take my game to a higher level, mentally, physically and technically. Training in Spain was a dream come true! The fulfillment of this long-held dream has validated my faith in myself and my ability to pursue my dreams. I am now setting my sights on studying at a university with a strong academic program while also playing soccer. I believe I can be a real asset to the right team/school and look forward to connecting with coaches who envision a spot for me on their team.
I have a very creative style to my game and am the type of player who is always looking for that perfect pass to split apart the defense. Because of this I have created countless chances and gotten many assists. I am a type of player who fits well in a possession base team as I am very good at keeping the ball but I am also very good on the counter as I can make that sharp pass that cuts the defense and puts the striker in a position where he is bound to score. On top of this when I am given the chance I finish my shots and score goals and am a reader of passes, making many interceptions when my team is on defense.
