College soccer has always been something I’ve wanted to do. I’ve loved the game and played it ever since I was three years old. Now, I even get to Coach it and make a difference by working at my local Forekicks. Soccer has done so much for me. It really serves as the thing I love and always want to play. Soccer keeps me motivated. With my lifestyle of soccer I’ve been able to learn a lot about myself. Soccer has really pushed me to become better at the sport as well as to better myself. I’ve learned how to be a good teammate, good habits, how to organize my time, sportsmanship, and most importantly to be a leader. I’ve been able to be a captain for a club team and have been recognized as a role model and leader by my coaches. I strive everyday to push myself both athletically and academically as well as being able to push others and challenge them to better themselves at the same time. Soccers a huge part of my life, but so is school and that’s why I try my hardest and have a 4.3 GPA at my school. Now, what sticks out about me you may ask. To that I say my communication. As a goalie it’s very important to be both confident and demanding inside the posts. I’ve been able to incorporate communication as a large part of my game. Not only have I been able to command and rule my box, I’ve been able to gain a deeper understanding of the game to be able to help organize my team and be their vocal help at all times.
