My ultimate goal for as long as I can remember is to play soccer at the collegiate level while obtaining a higher level of education. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old and absolutely fell in love with it. Ever since I first kicked a ball I knew that this sport was meant for me. Soccer has made me learn so many things throughout my ongoing career. One of the more important ones being, what it means to be a true team player. Being a team player is about giving 100% and bringing out the best in not only yourself but your teammates as well. My goal is to play soccer at the highest level in college while pursuing my degree in engineering. To play for a collegiate team would mean the world to me because it means that I was able to accomplish something only a select few are able to do. I am a very competitive, hardworking, and determined athlete who strives to be the superlative person on the field.
Academically, I have always wanted to attend a four-year university. It wasn't until this past year of high school when I decided what field of study I would like to follow. I took my first year of chemistry and immediately had a passion for it, I am captivated by chemistry because it helps you understand the world around you. I also have a strong interest in mathematics, I feel like everything that I learn involving mathematics sticks, and I love the feeling of being able to solve a problem. This is why I have chosen to pursue a degree in chemical engineering.
Personally, my family is very important to me. They never miss a game of mine and support me no matter what. We love to travel, and some of our traveling has been a result of me playing soccer. We have traveled internationally, like Scotland and Ireland, and we have also traveled nationally. I have competed in soccer tournaments in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida and Texas. Non-sports related, every year my family and I volunteer at the Children's Center in Detroit. We each choose a child to provide for. We give them the necessities they are not able to obtain like a coat or a toothbrush and even toys. I love the feeling of being able to help others in need and truly understand I am making a difference.
