Luca Doci '25 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember soccer has been a passion or mine.  My family is Romanian and soccer has been included in all summer family get togethers.  My family is very competitive and I am very competitive as well when it comes to soccer and sports in general.  Our Romanian community organizes a Soccer Charity Cup for young men and women.  I have been part of this for a few years.  No matter the weather or if anyone was able to play soccer with me, I was willing to play soccer.  Once I started playing with a team at the age of 9, I realized that my passion was also something that I excelled at.  I enjoyed running and my stamina allowed me to play forward the entire game sometimes.  I am hard working and disciplined in this sport and I really enjoy being on a team.  I don't play selfishly, I love it when everyone gets a chance and encourages one another. 

My dream is to play soccer professionally one day, and although it may be a long way away, and it may seem impossible to achieve, I will not give up on my dream.  I have a cousin that married Ciprian Micula that played for Bayern Munich after High School and thus to me, this dream of mine doesn't seem so far off.  Playing in college will only help with my training, my dream and my drive.
