Helping my team win is very important to me and I enjoy playing and watching all sports. However, I want to play Division 1, Division 2 or NAIA soccer as a forward/striker because I love the sport and want to help get my college education paid for. I am a very good multi-sport athlete, spend a lot of time lifting weights, speed training and practicing footwork outside of normal team practices. I am currently enrolled in the Strength & Conditioning class at my school and I’ve made strength gains in Push Press = 155, Power Clean =190, Bench Press = 215, Squat = 275, and Dead Lift = 345.
I'm a hard worker in the classroom and in athletic competition and am very dedicated to improving. I have a combination of character, coachability, intelligence, strength, speed, and athleticism that makes me a strong college prospect and a great teammate. I'm a good student and maintain honor roll status with A's and B's. My favorite subjects are science and history. I love being outdoors and enjoy hunting and fishing with my family when I have time. I also work during the summer at a nursery and landscaping business called Pine Hill Nursery. I'm honest, loyal, get along well with others, and have a good sense of humor.
I have high field IQ, trust my teammates, have strong footwork and passing skills, and enjoy learning from my coaches and teammates. Thank you for showing an interest in me. Good in tight spaces, and makes good use of moves to beat defenders. Passing - Creates opportunities for teammates with accurate passes. Rarely over or under hits the ball. Tactical Abilities - 89 / 100 Speed Of Thought - Has good ideas and tries to play fast. This will only help future growth. Group Play - Play was elevated in team activities. Great understanding of your roles and responsibilities within a team. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular when running into space. Will be an important asset going forward. Strength - Did a good job handling challenges and played well shoulder-to-shoulder. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach's Comments It was great to work with Mason at the Detroit camp. Despite unfavorable conditions he showed that he can play with most of the kids at camp. He had a great engine and was willing to work every time he stepped on the field, good athlete. Has good ideas, but still needs to improve first touch to play in fewer touches. Could hold up the ball in the attack and did well to keep possession. Continue to improve your ability to run at players with the ball. Work on a couple moves your can be confident with and master them During the game, work on changing your speed more on and off the ball. There were times you could make hard run in behind defenders and it took to long Continue to work on improving your ability to receive in tight spaces and get out of trouble.
