My name is Joey Prins and I am excited for the opportunity to play college level soccer.  Soccer has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. From my first experiences on the field to my current role as a team leader, the game has shaped who I am as both an athlete and a person. I am eager to bring my passion, skills, and work ethic to your program, and I am confident that my experiences have prepared me for the challenges and demands of college soccer.

Throughout my high school and club soccer career, I have honed my skills in all aspects of the game—technical, tactical, and mental. As a versatile position player, I’ve developed a keen sense of the game’s flow and an ability to read opponents and adjust to their strategies. I have always placed a premium on being a versatile and reliable player, whether that means making key passes, getting back to defend, scoring goals, or taking on a leadership role within the team. I’m constantly striving to improve my game, and I believe that my work ethic on the field and in training reflects my desire to continually grow as an athlete.

In addition to my technical and athletic abilities, my commitment to academics is a key aspect of who I am. I believe that being a student-athlete means excelling both in the classroom and on the field, and I’ve worked hard to maintain strong grades while dedicating countless hours to training and competition. Time management is crucial, and I have learned to balance the demands of academics, soccer, and personal life to ensure that I am excelling in all areas.

One of the most important aspects of my journey has been learning the value of teamwork and leadership. As a captain of my high school team and a regular contributor on my club team, I’ve learned that soccer is more than just individual talent; it’s about bringing people together to work toward a common goal. I thrive in team environments and find fulfillment in supporting my teammates, whether it’s by motivating others, leading by example, or offering tactical advice during tough moments. I’ve come to realize that the best teams are built on strong communication, trust, and the collective drive to push each other to be the best.

I am eager to take the next step in my soccer career and play at the highest level. I understand that playing at any college level requires commitment, discipline, and resilience, and I am ready to embrace the challenges and make the most of the opportunity.
