Garrett Monroe '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Garrett Monroe, I'm a senior and play for Lutheran High School North in Macomb, Michigan. During the 2013 season, our team went to the Final 4, competing in the State Semi-Finals.  I was selected to the All-District team (voted the #1 goal keeper in my district), All-Regional team (voted the #1 goalie in my region), and selected 2nd Team All-State. 

My club team is the Fraser Flyers.  Last year we were ranked in the Top 10 in the State of Michigan.

Soccer Attitude: I'm a very hard worker and I love to lead by example.  I'm a leader on and off the field. In penalty shoot outs the last two years, I have a 61% save percentage in penalty shots, I saved 17 out of my 28 shots. Being a goalie is my life and I have always been able to raise my game to the level necessary for team success. I can't wait to take my game to the college level.

Recently, in playing for my high school team, Lutheran High School North, as a senior I had a great year.  I had a total of 9 shutouts recorded and I saved 4 of the 5 pks attempted on goal.  As a team we were ranked #2 in the state in division 3.  Individually, I had accumulated a handful of awards at the end of the season including the top goalie in the Catholic League, All-District (voted best goalie in my district), All-Region (voted best goalie in my region), and then selected 2nd Team All-State.   As an individual, I was awarded for my efforts throughout the season and hope to bring these talents to a program where I can help contribute in a big way.
