My name is Alex Scott and I am from Williamston, Michigan, currently enrolled as Senior (Class of 2018) at Williamston High School with a 3.8 GPA (with AP classes). I am 5 feet 10 inches and weigh 165 lbs. I am looking to attend a college/university with an outstanding academic and athletic program.
I am a leader on and off the field and I am a highly motivated and dedicated team player. I am a versatile player and utilized in a number ways, but find myself most comfortable and effective as an attacking left or right back.
I am looking for a school where I can be an impact player and contributor, where I can thrive alongside other student athletes who share my passion, where I can play soccer at the highest and most competitive level, where my skills are tested, and where I can reach my true potential, while at the same time receiving the best education possible.
I have been on the Williamston high school varsity team (jersey #3) for all four years, (starter the past three seasons) and was named captain my junior and senior years. With my high school, I have had many amazing experiences including going to the State Championship in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, I was selected All State as a junior and senior.
In June 2016, I was selected to play with the Michigan Jaguars U18 Green (jersey#8). We played in the Midwest Regional League (MRL) Premier 1 (highest division in MRL). We were the2017 Michigan State Cup Finalists. We played in the following tournaments- Disney Showcase-Orlando, FL (tying Yonkers United Golden Touch, Ranked #28 in nation, SC Del Sol, ranked #34 in nation and lost to FC Florida Preparatory Academy, ranked #12 in nation), Ohio Elite Boys Showcase, Cincinnati, Ohio (Champion), and Blue Chip Batavia, OH (Semi-Finalist).
In June 2015, I was selected to the Michigan ODP 1999 State team.
During the 2015-2016 seasons, I played for the Michigan Wolves as the starting left back (jersey#12). We played in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP) playing in top division (Premier 1) and also played in the National Premier League (NPL), Midwest Development League Division. During my 2016 club season we made it to the round of 16 in Michigan State Cup.
I am fortunate to have had excellent coaches. My current club coach at Michigan Jaguars is Dan Trosper, (USSF) A Licensed and former professional player. Brent Sorg, former Williamston high school coach, NCAA ACC soccer referee, ODP coach and currently Assistant men’s coach at Alma College. Current Williamston high school coach Steve Horn also current Michigan Chill Club coach, former coach at TNT TNT soccer club and Michigan Rush. Matt Johnson, Michigan Wolves club team coach also a coach at Marygrove College (Detroit) and former professional player. Lars Richters, Michigan Wolves coach also Michigan Wolves Academy DOC and former professional player.
