I hope to play a high level of soccer in college because it has been a dream of mine since I was 5 years old. I lived overseas most of my childhood and although I was exposed to multiple different cultures and sports, soccer has always stuck with me and has always been my favorite to play. I lived in Sri Lanka right before moving back to the US. I played for an academy team for one of the semi-professional teams in Sri Lanka called TAFA. I also played on the varsity team of my school (The Overseas School of Sri Lanka) as an 8th grader. I moved to the US freshman year, the day before high school tryouts, meaning that I missed the tryouts for club season. I managed to walk on to a team during the following winter. Soccer has always been a constant in my life and on of the reasons is because I can get along with my teammates easily. I believe that I am a good candidate for a college team because I am able to not only get along with people very easily but I believe, aside from a skillful role in the back, I can bring character and depth to the team as well.
