As a first generation American, I have learned that hard work does pay off. My parents proved this. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, however, my parents immigrated from Macedonia. In the beginning it was hard, we lived in a very small apartment. Where they not only had to support me but my one and a half year old sister too. For the next four years, they worked like dogs day and night. When I was four we moved to Rhinelander, Wisconsin. My parents had saved enough money where they could lease a building and make a business out of it. My parents had to work for what we had, nothing was ever given to them. Hard work was not only mandatory for my parents but for me as well Over the past twelve years in Rhinelander I have put hard work into soccer, education, and family. I work hard, have a good work ethic, am passionate about soccer, and most of all have discipline. I have been to camps worldwide such as Macedonia, Manchester united England, Ac Milan Italy, to Kenosha Wisconsin. This gave me experience of how soccer is in multiple countries around the world. Education is also one of the many things I had to work had for. I knew that without education your life is going to be harder. Education has and always will be my number one priority. I remember one time in macedonia when we were there for the winter and I was missing school in America, and my mom told me that you could just sign up for the school there. For one whole week I went to school there and that experience was priceless. Getting to meet new people and learning different culture was so exciting. Yet, I am not done learning and growing as a person. I will keep working hard and becoming a better student and soccer player.
