Sports became my passion at a very young age. I enjoyed baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and track. When I joined a club team for soccer, I thought of it as a chance to become a more competitive athlete. That was the year I decided to learn how to be a goalie.
That same year my team won state with me in the net and we moved up to C-1 level in Minnesota. It was difficult going up to the next level — I was scored on 4 times in my first game. I decided to work harder, and here I am now, ready to play at the Premier level on one of the top six teams in the state of Minnesota.
Life isn’t all soccer for me. I work hard and I am able to balance my school work, a different school sport each season, a club sport, mission trips for my church, and a year round job I’ve had since I was 14. I also enjoy hunting and fishing at my boathouse on the Mississippi.
Academically I am more of a math person, but I would like to study in a field related to architecture, engineering or construction management. I would like to earn a quality degree and play soccer at a competitive level. I’ve been told I know how to juggle many responsibilities and that I'm very coachable and will put the team before myself.
My dad was a college athlete with two national championships. He has mentored me on how hard I will have to work. My grandpa was was 6’5” with an amazing wing span. I’m still growing and am on track to have his height, long arms, and big hands. Perfect for a goalie at the college level.
