I am a team-first player. Even though I've always played forward, this high school season I was asked to play defense when a teammate got injured. I played right back the entire season, and was still tied for leading goal scorer. I was also selected as All-Conference Honorable Mention for the second year in a row, but this time as a defender. I helped my high school team to its first winning season since 2015. I was also recently selected by my teammates and coaches to be a team captain for next year.
Having height and speed as both a forward and defender is key. I have both of those. Being 6'3" and very fast on and off the ball, defenders have a hard time keeping me contained. I'm great on corners and can make tactical runs right through the defense. I can finish very well, whether it's on breakaways, penalty kicks, free kicks, or just mid-play. Having always played forward, I am able to anticipate opponent's moves when playing defense. I always stay positive on the field, even if we are losing. I'm very easy to coach, and I take everything my coach says and put it into my gameplay.
I am looking for a college that will prepare me for a career in fashion/retail merchandising, business, or marketing. Off the field I have a steady 3.77 GPA at a college prep high school. I worked for 5 months this summer and fall as a Retail Associate at adidas, and I also really enjoy listening to music and playing the bass guitar.
