John Luke Nahorski '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to commit to a Division 1 university for both their academic excellence and to play soccer at the highest level possible. I plan to pursue a degree in Business Management. I am a good candidate for any college for a few reasons:

• My work ethic is second to none.
• I am a true team leader because I am just as likely to distribute to a teammate, as I am to put the ball in the net.
• I know I can make a difference on the field by assisting and scoring goals while being that team leader you are looking for.

What separates me from other candidates is my ball control, speed, quick feet, powerful & accurate shot, my first touch and my dedication to training on my own time. I continue to put in the hard work on the pitch on my own time.  Working harder than others to get better has been my secret to success. The extra effort I put into training is based on this belief: 10,000 times creates a habit.

My technical ability, tactical awareness, physical prowess, mental awareness and social behavior are characteristics that coaches and teammates have acknowledged about me. I believe that soccer doesn’t build character, it reveals it. I am recognized as the leader of my team and can make an impact on the game immediately. I always work hard with my teammates to find a way to get the win. Soccer is the perfect example of a team sport, where you must have the trust and confidence of your teammates.

I take pride in my leadership skills, athletics and academics. I am more than blessed to have the opportunity to play the greatest game in the world. My passion, competitiveness, never quit attitude, trust in my ability and love of the beautiful game is where I truly stand out from the crowd.
