Derek McCormack '22 Recruiting Profile

Starting varsity as a freshman has been the highlight of my soccer career up to this point. Finally, all my tears, sweat, hard work, and dedication to the sport of soccer for the last 10 years had paid off. Growing up in a very small community with not a lot of focus on soccer was definitely a struggle but, eventually, I found a club team that helped me develop the skills needed to excel and become a leader in the midfielder position. I believe that I not only have the skills and talent to play at the college level, but also the work ethic, character, and commitment you are looking for. Off the field I was fortunate enough to have received a catholic education which, I believe, has benefited me academically as well as helped me to develop strong leadership skills and morals. I am looking forward to finding a program that will be the best fit both athletically and academically. I know that I have what it takes and will, without a doubt, make a positive impact on your program!
