Personal Statement
I have played soccer since I was 3 years old, while I participated in many other sports, I always loved soccer. I tried out for Sporting Kansas City and made the U13 and U14 teams as a Developmental Player. For those two years I made the 6 hour round trip commute between Lincoln and Kansas City 1-3 times per week. I also took on-line classes to help keep me on track academically. My sophomore year I had the opportunity to take AP classes and advanced curriculum. Therefore, I made the difficult decision to focus on academics. Fortunately my Club in Lincoln provided the curriculum which allowed me to continue developing at a high level as a soccer player. Because of this I was scouted by coaches from Villarreal CF in Spain. Through the recommendation of the Villarreal coaches, as well as my Club coach, I was selected to trial for ten days with Villarreal Cf in Spain, January of 2019. The opportunity to train with one of the top developmental Clubs in Europe was outstanding!
