I have been playing competitive soccer throughout my childhood, my middle school years, and my high school years. Since a young age, I have practiced and learned how to be technically skilled in dribbling, juggling, passing, taking on players, and especially playmaking. Since then, I knew that I loved the sport, and that I wanted to play at the collegiate level. It has always been my aspiration to get better every day, every practice, every game, every season, but I did not grow as much physically. I began playing on a high-level club team when I was in elementary school. And I was always the smallest kid on the pitch. Yet, being small did not get me down or make me want to quit. It just motivated me more to be the more physical. I have always had that mindset even up until now. It has lead me to be more successful and get better and stronger every day. Being on that high-level club team, I was noticed by ODP Colorado and I was invited multiple times to try out for the team. But every year I was rejected, let down due to my size. During my middle school years, I played up a year in a more physically competitive level. The play was very fast and intense. I was moved up a year due to my skill, not my size, even though I could stand up for myself and protect the ball. I played hockey all my life and that helped me in the corners and in one on one play. Plus, I finally grew a bit over the years and I grew in my strength. During my sophomore year of high school, I made my school’s varsity soccer team. It was a huge step up for the play that I was used to and honestly , I didn’t play very much. So over that summer going into my junior year. I went to the gym as much as possible and I went to a few soccer camps. I worked out in the gym every other day and played soccer. I dedicated myself to get bigger so I could play more and be more of a part of the team. The hard work paid off in the end because I did get stronger and I started out the season of my junior year starting at center defense. I felt used to the speed of play and I felt more comfortable. Our team was struggling and losing a few games and my coach moved us into a different formation, a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3. He also moved me to a striker position. I am a very coachable player so I moved to a new position without hesitation or complaint. In fact, I grew up playing striker so I was more used to playing it than defense. I went on the score 2 very important goals and gave good minutes. My teams record at the end of the season was 9-3-3, which was the best record the soccer program has seen in the past 25 years. I feel proud to contribute to the team’s success this year.
I have been wanting to play at the collegiate level for a long time. I want to play at either the D3 or D2 level. I feel like I can compete at this level because whenever I am playing with better players, It makes me a better player. I am the type of player who never gives up. I never give up on the play and I feel like I can turn nothing into something. I work hard on my touch and getting stronger whenever I can. In practice, I play hard and push my teammates to do the same. I play two other sports, hockey and lacrosse, so I am athletic. I am fast and I have good vision of the field. As I said earlier, I feel like I am a very coachable player, I can play all over the field and I am eager to learn from my coaches. I take their criticism and coaching points seriously because it will help me improve as a player. Soccer is my #1 sport, I love the game and I love being a part of a team full of friends and good players. I aspire to become greater and to succeed at the collegiate level.

2018 Lightning Soccer Club VT (Club )
This club team is a very competitive club team. Unfortunately, I found out about this club team after my school's off-campus program. The coach, Ben, let me try out because they were looking for extra players but I would be a reserve. So I did not play in games and I only practiced with the squad.
