Eric Eames '15 Recruiting Profile

Over my 16 years of existence, soccer is one of the most influential things that i have experienced in my life. When i was younger i always dreamed of playing soccer for rest of my life because it was something i succeeded in and most of all love and passion for the game is something very close to heart. I started playing for my first club at the age 4 at Seacoast United in their grassroots program. I have strived through their programs and I'm still currently with the club to this day as they provide with the best opportunities to take my talents to the next level of competitive soccer, which is the collegiate level. Some of my accomplishments I've achieved at the club include exposer to the Developmental Academy program and have seen action against some of the best teams in the country. My talents have taken me as far as the south playing against several dominant clubs and have developed. For my high school team I started every game for varsity as a sophomore and contributed 3 goals with 1 assist, playing as a striker. I helped carry our 12th seed team all the way to the semi-finals of the state tournament where we lost to the number 1 seed who we previously upset in the regular season. My main focus is my club team Seacoast United Soccer Club, that plays year round and plays against the best competition in the northeast. For Seacoast i play left outside midfield and is where I feel I am most dangerous as goal scorer and a distributor. Playing on left side allows me to use my speed to breakdown defenders towards goal and be able to either fire shot onto my dominant right foot or be able to slide a ball across the face of goal. My quickness allows me to turn and change speeds that gives me an advantage over players. My off the ball runs across the defensive line are what make me a dangerous and tricky player to cover as I'm constantly moving to create room for me to run into or drawing defenders away to create space for one of my teammates to run onto. Still having two more years left before college, it gives me time to develop and think about my future as a athlete and a student also. Some of the studies that interest me are History, Bussiness, and Sports Management.
