Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Boris Romanovic and I’ve played soccer for many years. Ever since I was 3 years old I’ve been with a ball at my feet. And I would be more than happy to continue playing the sport I love at the collegiate level. Right now I am playing for Seacoast Bedford Elite 08’s and for the Goffstown High School Varsity Team. I am a regular starter for both. Right away as a freshmen I played for the varsity team and as a starter too. During the past few years I’ve gotten the opportunity to play for the Seacoast Regional Team and offered a spot on the Seacoast Academy (MLS Next). I also attended a soccer camp in Europe, where I got to get the experience of playing against some of the top academies there.

As of right now I don’t have any clear career choices because I have just started my sophomore year, but I’ve always been strong in my math and science classes. I am currently taking the highest level math course that a sophomore can take and one of the highest science classes. Besides that I’ve taken all honors level classes in school so far and am planning on taking different AP level courses next year. In academics I’ve always excelled and am able to have a great balance between soccer and school as a student-athlete being able to maintain a 3.886 GPA. I’m always completing work well and on time despite the fact I have training close to everyday. As a student I take my grades and school very seriously and always make sure to focus. Along with that I always try to make sure I‘m doing my best on and off the field.

As a player I started off as a forward when I was young, but later I started enjoying finding the perfect pass in that midfield position. I love picking out passes to my forwards in games and creating chances for the team. I would say my play style is on the more attacking side which is why I prefer the attacking mid position. Along with that from a coaching standpoint I believe I’m a very coachable player and will listen to instructions or advice given to me at all times. Despite being one of the smallest on the field almost always when I play, I believe I’m also one of the smarter players on the field.
