Jonathan Aviles '24 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to play competitive college soccer at a school with quality academics and a good business program that will prepare me for my future. I am a team player and as the goalie I direct the field and support my teammates physically and mentally. What makes my character different from other recruits is that I am determined, hardworking, and always there for my family, friends, and teammates.  My Freshman year season I was brought up to my high school’s varsity team to start for the first playoff game because the other goalkeeper and seven other starters could not play due to Coronavirus quarantining.  Even though we lost, I kept them in the game and had 9 saves. As a Sophomore, I was the varsity team starting goalkeeper.   We won our conference with an 8-3-1 record. I recorded 75 total saves this season with 59 regular season saves and 16 saves in two playoff games. My conference goals-against average was 1.00 and I recorded 4 shutouts. My regular season GGA was 1.23.  I am a multi-sport athlete who  plays lacrosse for both a select travel team and my nationally ranked high school team.   I take a rigorous academic course load at a highly competitive high school and I am an active participant in all my classes. I am also a part of the Marine Biology Club at my school and work as a certified lifeguard during summers.
