Angelo Lucignano '26 Recruiting Profile

Angelo is a “Mancino” (left foot dominant) high school soccer player with a strong soccer IQ.

Positional Strengths:

Center Defensive Midfielder (CDM): 

Angelo distributes the ball with precision. His ability to read the game, intercept passes, and shield the defense makes him a valuable asset in the CDM position.

Attacking Midfielder (AM)

When needed, Angelo can transition to the AM Role.  His vision, creativity, and playmaking skills come to the forefront when operating as an attacking midfielder. He has a powerhouse left foot which is a potent weapon for set pieces.  

Passing: 

A playmaker at heart, Angelo possesses accurate short and long-range passing abilities. His left foot allows him to deliver precise and unexpected passes that can change the course of a game.

Tactical Awareness:

Angelo reads the game exceptionally well and has been told he demonstrates a high level of soccer IQ.  His positional awareness enables him to contribute to both defensive and offensive phases of play.

Leadership and Work Ethic:

As co-captain of his JVA team, Angelo leads by example. He is unselfish and believes in a team mentality…together they are stronger than one.

College Recruitment Goals:

Angelo is actively seeking opportunities to contribute his skills and passion for soccer at the collegiate level. With his unique left-footed abilities and versatility in the midfield, he aims to be an asset to any college soccer program that values skill, dedication, and leadership on and off the field.
