Thomas Shifferd '25 Recruiting Profile

My dad played in the NFL and I am definitely built more like a football player than a traditional soccer player.  As a defender I embrace the physicality that my build brings to my game.  I also strive to be an intelligent player.  Coaches compliment my field sense, coachability, work-rate, and sheer joy for the game.  Soccer has been my happy place since I was nine and my plan is to work as hard as I can so that I can play as long as possible.

I know that I also need a plan for after soccer and a good education to pursue my next passion.  I want to be an American Sign Language Interpreter.  Academically I am putting in the work that I need to now, and will continue to do so through college, so that I am in the best position to pursue that goal.
