My name is Iago Lopez and I will be a senior graduating in 2024. Throughout my life soccer has always been one of the most important things in my life. I love waking up every day knowing that I get to play this sport, and I am very grateful for every moment that it has given me whether it be happiness, sadness, excitement or disappointment. My whole life it has been my dream to play soccer for as long as I can remember, and playing at the collegiate level would be the next goal in my journey. My mentality on the field is to always put the team first and to try and make sure we win as a team and not just as an individual. Being part of a team has put me in a great environment of feeling some sort of brotherhood with my teammates and this has taught me respect and responsibility on and off the field. I pride myself on being both an athlete and a student. That is why I value being able to split my time between the two and holding them both to an equal balance. I have always looked up to my coaches as role models and have always given them my utmost respect and would be grateful to be given the opportunity to continue playing at a higher level.
