Cristian Mejia '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to make it something out of my life. My parents aren't  the richest and didn't have the most success in sports or academic but they work to keep me n my brother the best life. My parents gave  me what I need to succeed in life. I always have fought for my spot on any team sport I played soccer, lacrosse and football. I have the drive to always be a starter no matter where I play. I used to be a foward in middle team which undefeated ( I was captain) but in high school it changed because many talented athletes were trying out but that didn't bother me I faced the fact they were better then me at that position. So I changed to center back n I worked my way up and I started to play all my games n play full time because I worked day in n day out to be the best at what I do. Many coaches look past me because of where I play but that doesn't matter Malverne soccer isn't the best soccer program but me n my friends are determined to change this program n make malerne to one the best programs in New York and the process has been paying off. My character is quite off the field but on the field I'm always screaming or helping people to make our team. My dream is to take my team to a championships. If scouts could come see my games and see how I play they wouldn't regret it at all. As I play in the field I do in academics. I'm a scholar athletes. As taking advance classes and balancing school with school. I live as a normal teen I go to party and hang with my friends but drugs and drinking is a big red flag and everyone knows I don't do any type of drug or drink at all. My focus is my craft which is soccer and academics.
