Alexander Carney '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Carney. I was born in Jamaica and moved to New York around January 2020. I'm 17 years old, a junior that currently attends Mount Vernon High School. My positions include ST, LW, sometimes wingback (both sides) and I can play the CAM/CF role. I prefer to use my right foot, however my left is a work in progress. I'm very respectful and well-mannered and I have excellent grades through all my courses. I've enjoyed playing soccer since I was in Jamaica, but due to the pandemic, I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like to until the summer of 2021 where I was accepted into Mount Vernon High School's varsity team. Since then, I've been constantly improving and now, I am playing for Spirit of Mount Vernon Thunder (Spring Soccer). I'd like to improve even more and ensure such determination can reap major benefits.
